Pentair Needle Thermocouples are specially designed for conducting heat penetration tests of foods in cans, jars, and plastic packages. The non-projecting connector type thermocouples combine convenience and accuracy. Also, they permit test containers to be filled and closed in the same manner as the commercial pack. Needle Thermocouples are Type-T with a 1/16" (1.6 mm) diameter tubular stainless steel body. A needle thermocouple installs into a Thermocouple Receptacle. When purchased, a needle thermocouple comes with a Thermocouple Gasket installed.
Applications -
Needle thermocouples are thin and versatile temperature
sensors that consist of two thermocouple wires encased in a
protective sheath. They are designed with a sharp, pointed
tip, resembling a needle, which allows for easy insertion
into various materials or surfaces for temperature
measurement. Needle thermocouples find application in a
range of industries and environments. Here are some common
applications:
1. Industrial Processes: Needle thermocouples are widely
used in industrial processes for temperature monitoring and
control. They can be inserted into pipes, tanks, or
machinery to measure the temperature of liquids, gases, or
solids. Industries such as manufacturing, petrochemical,
pharmaceuticals, and food processing utilize needle
thermocouples for process optimization and safety.
2. Research and Laboratories: Needle thermocouples are used
in scientific research, laboratories, and testing
environments. They provide accurate and reliable temperature
measurements in experiments, material testing, quality
control, and other scientific applications.
3. Automotive and Aerospace: Needle thermocouples are
utilized in the automotive and aerospace industries for
temperature monitoring of engines, exhaust systems,
combustion chambers, or other critical components. They help
ensure proper functioning, efficiency, and safety of these
high-performance systems.
